First you need to get patched up:
This will get you up to version 1.40 (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Official_Releases/Patches/wolf_update_1_4.exe/_output.html)
then
This will take incrementally to the last patch for RtCW, 1.41 (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Official_Releases/Patches/wolf_update_1_41.exe/_output.html)
Once those have been downloaded and installed, let's move onto the maps!
First you need the GoTY Edition map pack, the official map pack from Splash and Nerve (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Official_Releases/Map_Packs/goty_mappack.exe/_output.html).
Next you'll want to download probably the maps Market Garden, Normandy Breakout and Tank. I've also listed Twilight as it is one of my favorite maps. When I have time I'll list the others we used to have but Tank, MG and NB are the biggies plus the GoTY map pack.
Market Garden (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Maps/Multiplayer/mp_marketgarden.zip/_output.html)
Normandy Breakout (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Maps/Multiplayer/Objective/mp_breakout.zip/_output.html)
Tank (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Maps/Multiplayer/mp_tank_final.zip/_output.html)
Twilight (http://www.filefront.com/r.b/page__file_info/_filepath__/gamingfiles/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein/Maps/Multiplayer/Objective/mp_twilight.zip/_output.html)

*FIXING IN-GAME REFRESH RATE WHEN USING WINDOWS XP*
For some people, like myself, RtCW defaults to 60hz for the refresh setting. Playing the game you can notice that it just doesn't "look" or "feel" right on the eyes and can get quite tiresome after awhile.
To set permanently the in-game refresh rate, you must first bring down the console by pressing the ~ key. Once you have pressed, a box will have dropped down from the top of the screen with a command line. On that line type:
/seta r_displayrefresh "85"
Hit Return/Enter. It will inform you that the settings will take effect once the game/video has been restarted. Close the console by hitting the ~ once more and exit the game completely and then return. You should now notice the perceptible flicker is gone. You can of course use whatever value such as 75 or whatever but I use 85.
I have an Nvidia card and even using the Refresh overide included with the drivers doesn't seem to work on this game like it does Battlefield 1942. So this should work for you!
