Back on CCm a few of you started to post about how much you all hate your job at this time of year. I stayed quiet with being on worker's comp. for 3 months. Well I started back last week and OMG I hate this time of year. Yes retail has gotta bite this time of year but so does the hospitality biz. As a cook for the last 25 years or so I work all through the holidays and during the prime hours....at least you guys have christmas parties to go to....who do you think has to work them? At my work it is members only and since most are wealthy business men the club is a tax write off. And of course they hold all their parties there. But since it is a private club anybody off the street can't just walk in. And members are told to make reservations. Well last night for example we have only 73 reserved in the dining room. Everything is made fresh daily so you prepare accordingly (keep cost down favourite saying in restuarants) Since it is a private club the members are also the owners tech. and you do what they want. Well we had over 80 walk-in members last night ...Slammed really not fun when they pi$$ed off about taking too long but you can't tell them where's your gosh darned reservation!!
But on a good note we only had 32 reservations for New Years eve so they cancelled and I got my first one off since I was legal age to drink many moons ago......So what do people do on New Years eve??? :?

I usually take a lot of time off this time of year... its the rest of the year I hate.
I'm still unemployed right now...
Just to let you know I did have a job offer yesterday.I go to work next week, just in time for the holidays.
Its been a great summer without a job.I was to much of a bum.

Remind us what you do... 'cause apparently all you appeared qualified for is watching movies and writing about them.

Nasa called me to be a rocket scientist, but I didnt feel like moving to florida and the job opening for a brain surgeon was full (if SK can be a doctor I can be to...right?),so next week I go to work for a company called, check it out---> Pro-Fab Inc. (http://www.pro-fabinc.com/) to be a machinist again....but I think next year I'll become a cop and get a badge and a gun....how's that sound?

Machinist, eh? My brother is one, and I keep telling him how amazing it is to see him with all his fingers intact, given his clumsiness. Anyway, I happen to like what I do for a living, but not as much as I love taking days off for holidays, vacation, etc.

Im a Produce Manager and you people are waaaaaayyyyyyy too picky. This is by far the one time of the year that shoppers piss me off to the point that I actually loose my cool with them. So when someone at a grocery store yells and you or acts rude, just remember that he has probably had to deal with 100 million people asking for free or marked down food to take home in their Ferrari's and BMW's and everybody wanting everything straight from the cooler becuase they are too good to buy the stuff thats one the shelf. Little hint just because it comes from the back doesnt mean its better product than whats out there, we just cut it all up and wash it to make it look that way. You cant judge fruit solely by the condition of its skin.

Yeah, Otto. NASA called me about you as a reference. I gave them a raving review. Neither you nor your offspring will have a chance there now.

Could always try being a man-whore. Women in their forties get lonely around the holidays, what with their husbands putting in all those extra hours. :D

It wont be long and he'll be moving over.

Why am I imagining that picture of you with some old woman photoshopped in? :D
And the answer is not because I'm perverse.

See what happens when you prefer women who are mature as opposed to 18 year old airheads? Suddenly, in a land full of pariahs, I'm a pariah. :|
