So after a number of battles in which the battlefeed did not update stats, I'm very disappointed. I think I heard some talking about using a mod for their BF3 browser? is this the Better Battlefeed or is there something else people recommend?

Well I've gotten to play a little over an hour today. I'm a level 10 barbarian, and my god is this game amazing. Server issues aside, the game play is amazing, the graphics are great (not bf3 beautiful, but the art style is what makes it), the hack and slash action brings back all those glorious diablo moments. I can't wait to get further into the story and game. Needless to say its lived up to my expectations and then some. Let me know what everyone else thinks!

Heard there was commotion on TS server, someone came in, temp banned several players after berating them. I think Howie's nephew reported this in Abuse section, but just curious if there's any way to find out who this was and ban them?

Other thing I notice, I thought our TS info was invisible from public on these forums, unless you were a VSF member, but I can see the TS thread when I'm not logged in. Is there a way to make this thread hidden for non-members?

Some of the things this person said today (among other douchebaggery) were comments about how the players who were present don't pay for the server... that's sort of an unsual comment imo for a random pugger; I never know if the TS server is maintained by Naz or Chaly (or someone else, and I'm willing to pitch in)... but the point is, the fact that this individual knew that the people on TS didn't pay for it, I think that's a bit suspicious - I hope no VSF community member, in a moment of either weakness or just being an asshat, was responsible for this.

I am concerned that this person could temp ban... is there a way to correct this?

hey, me and my friend were banned from TS for no apparent reason by someone named calculator but then kept switching their name my user name is Boink my friends is Birdvsworm the person who was doing this was not using the mic for talking but played music through it or sound board type sound effects. if anyone could help us get back on so we can utilize ts for bf3 please pm me

I'm always curious about how much Americans love their political myths. 2 of the ones you hear the most: Republicans being fiscally responsible. Obama's out of control spending (I posted a link to US government budget a while back showing that it is (mostly) the drop in tax revenues, not spending, which is responsible for the deficit). Obama (whom I view as a terrible disappointment), has actually made some headway in cutting spending. Tough to believe, I know.

What I'm surprised about is Reagan displaying as badly as the charts indicate.

Water Guns Banned, Handguns Allowed at GOP Convention

In the politically-charged and likely protest-filled streets of Tampa, Fla., during the Republican National Convention in August, water guns will be strictly prohibited. Concealed handguns, on the other hand, will be perfectly legal.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott said this week that banning handguns from downtown Tampa during the convention, as the city's Mayor Bob Buckhorn requested, "would surely violate the Second Amendment."

"It is unclear how disarming law-abiding citizens would better protect them from the dangers and threats posed by those who would flout the law," Scott said in a letter to Buckhorn Tuesday, emphasizing the words "law-abiding." "It is at just such times that the constitutional right of self defense is most precious and must be protected from government overreach."

Buckhorn said today that he was "disappointed" by Scott's decision, but that the city will "plan and train accordingly."

Tampa officials are expecting thousands of protesters to descend on the Florida metropolis for the GOP convention. While no handguns will be allowed inside the convention, which is being protected by the Secret Service, concealed carry license-holders will be able to carry their weapons in the streets surrounding the convention.

They will not, however, be able to have "super soaker" water guns, sticks, poles, portable shields or glass bottles.

Buckhorn said last month that the state law, which prohibits the city from temporarily banning handguns, makes the city "look silly" because officials can prohibit water guns but not real ones, The Associated Press reported.

"There is no reason to have a concealed firearm in downtown Tampa that week," Buckhorn said in Wednesday's statement. "And, to be clear, I am far less concerned with those who have concealed weapons permits than the ones who may somehow acquire a weapon and use it to create mayhem."

James Davis, a spokesman for the Republican National Convention, said party officials are not worried that concealed handguns will create security problems.

"We think we are going to have a safe and successful convention," Davis said. "The local police and Secret Service will make sure of that."

The city plans to have 4,000 law enforcement personnel in the downtown area during the party convention, a move Buckhorn said would create "safe environment" where "a firearm should not be necessary for self-defense."

The Republican National Convention will be held at the Tampa Bay Times Arena, Aug. 27-30.
