    Ha! This!
    '74 CB550.
The previous owner thoughtfully painted the whole engine black.
I asked why and he said because it was red when he got it.. Ok...
It was a "barn find" and I think it spent more time out of the barn than in but most of the issues are routine or cosmetic.

I pulled the forks off yesterday and one was full of oily water and the other just water...
But the forks are ok, just need new seals and fresh oil.

I bought this ugly pos to flip so it's not gonna get the full treatment.
It just needs to be made road worthy.
Although I really want to polish the fork lowers.... Must resist... Must stick to plan.

Ok, so the CB550 is ready to go! It's going to get sold.

And I've been having the XS650 out and about.

How much do you expect to get for it?

Just looking at those bikes makes me want to get my moto license.

I went as far as getting the learners permit, but never booked the tests. I ended up injuring myself in a motorbike accident while I was in Colombia (great country to ride around in), and it basically set me back for a bit. By then, Vancouver had the worst winter I've ever seen (it even snowed here! A rarity in the city) and there was no way I was getting on a bike.

Anyway, maybe I'll do this next summer.

Around these parts I can probably get around 2K or a bit more. Which isn't netting me a huge profit but enough.

If I lived up there Geri I'd get a dirt bike and be all over the forest!
I actually prefer off-roading myself. I rarely ride in Austin, it's too dangerous. Austin traffic is just fscking stupid.
Mostly I cruise out in the "country" around here. Although in central Texas you're never more than 20 miles from a town.
