Default Soviet Armored WW2 Patrol Boat BK-31 recovered in Stalingrad

Imagine if you'd spent as many hours practicing with a musical instrument as you have spent playing video games.

Very cool. I recently read Anthony Beevor's Stalingrad and the scope of the battle alone--it doesn't even get into the horrors of the economies sustaining it on both sides--is mind-boggling.

I have read his Stalingrad, Berlin, and the Spanish Civil War books. (D-Day too I think.)
Yeah, Stalingrad, worse than can be described. Idiot Germans trying to sustain a 3000 mile long supply line into the Russian winter.
I need to get his Ardennes book.
Rick Atkinson's books are pretty good too.

It's no wonder so many Germans were so incredulous that the Americans would come through on their promises to airlift supplies into Berlin just a half a decade later.

The Germans only built ~3200 transport planes during the war.
    The US alone built ~24000...

The soviets also weren't shooting down American planes. I am just imagining how the people of Berlin would have seen it after the Stalingrad airlift failed to materialize.

Damn, patrol boat with a tank turret.
If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst forth at once in the sky, that would be like the splendor of the Mighty One... I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.
